You might wonder about these 5Ks, 10Ks, 21Ks. What are they? And how do you relate these terms to running?

These are the kind of races that you can participate in and have fun. The Long distance running these days has taken many smaller formats like 5K, 10K, etc.

When a runner wants to talk about her running, she would prefer to use those terms. If you watch one runner talking to another, you may find them using a lot of running jargon. But, don’t worry, they are not too tough to crack. As you would gain your ground in running, you will find them joining your lingo uninvited.

5K stands for Five Kilometres. Likewise, you can decipher 10K. Yes, that’s right. In the same way, we have some other formats like 21K, 42K etc. You may find it interesting to know that a full marathon has 42 km. So, if you have run a full marathon, you can claim yourself you be a Runner Par Excellence. You should give yourself a pat on the back for attaining such a great height in running.
