When I was starting on my fitness journey, I avoided buying any hi-fi sports merchandise.  I wanted to hold on to the overexcitement that fizzes out by the time you are ready with your attire and other things to work out.  So, I told myself, “If at all I move from point A to point B, I shall think over it, and then I will purchase.  

And it was really good not to lose my main focus or get distracted by wasting my time, energy, and money on things that I hardly understand as a novice.  It’s only with time that you realise why you need what you need.  So, I think it has turned out to be a good decision not to waste money on buying professional merchandise until I have tenured to a certain extent.

So, having spent 7 good years running more than 10000 Kms in the form of 5Ks, 10 Ks, 21Ks, and full marathons, I have developed a certain understanding of the various types of fitness gear.   Let’s talk about one of the most common gears for any kind of physical activity, like walking, running, or simply jogging:  The Jogging Track Suit

What is a Jogging Track Suit 

As the name may suggest that it is a kind of set of attire that’s worn during the course of exercise or workouts.  So, a jogging track suit is a 2 piece suit consisting of:

  1. Full Sleeved Jacket
  2. A pair of trousers

It is a good idea for you to have this kind of clothing.  A lot of people who go for workouts don’t really understand their fitness gear.  And this is one of the major reasons why they don’t seem to enjoy physical activity.  

One of the major mistakes that they make is that they don’t feel the need to change into proper fitness clothes when they are exercising.  Even if you are working out at home, you must lay out a proper space for your workout, and you must first get into proper fitness attire to have the mindset of a fitness warrior.

So, you can try this clothing:  The jogging Track Suit.  

Just remove all your cotton clothing and change into the Jogging Track Suit.  Of course, you need to be wearing some underwear for the upper and lower portions.  And that’s it. Just cover those pieces of underwear with your Jogging Track Suit over the top.  It will be absolutely fine to do workouts in these.

So, why?

Why would a person ever need to get into these lousy-looking clothes?

Here I am going to tell you the prime reasons for being in possession of a couple of Jogging Track Suits in your wardrobe.  

The need for casualness:

You need to change from fitting clothes to loose clothes to give your body the freedom of movement.  When you are wearing clothes that don’t allow your body to twist, turn, bend, or flex, your body sends a signal that it is not interested, and it is getting frustrated with that restrictive body gear.  

As you change into a comfortable Jogging Track Suit, your body can feel the ease and comfort to move its parts as it desires.  So, the freedom of movement for the body becomes the number one reason.

The Regulation of Body Temperature:

Before you can do any physical exercise, your body needs to warm up.  Warming up literally means that the body temperature has to get a little bit more than the room temperature.  And especially if it is cold weather, the need for temperature regulation becomes super important.  

During the course of exercise, your body is going to heat up.  The temperature is going to soar due to a burst of energy from the body.  But you don’t go like a rocket at a stretch.  You would take short breaks in between.  So, if you allow your body to cool down, you will need to warm up your body to be ready to lift those heavy weights or do the crunches and the dead lifts.  In that scenario, if you have the body that’s covered, you can be sure that the temperature will be maintained well.  

So, this temperature regulation becomes another crucial point to have the Jogging Track Suit.  The suit will keep your body covered from the neck to the ankles.  And the tracksuit is going to allow space inside, as it is always somewhat loose for any size you will take.  

Keeping the body safe from bruises or scratches during the workouts:

Imagine if you are on a training run for a marathon in your locality.  Suddenly, you step on a peel of a banana and slip and fall.  You may be thrown out of balance.  And you may land on something that may lead to scratches.  But when your body is fully covered, you have the chance to be a little safer.

The Track Suits can keep you protected from the Sun, Wind & even light rain.  

Get Rid of the Sweat as easily

While we work out, the body bursts with energy that heats the body and, at the same time, also makes the body sweat.  The sweat in the body is created to send the water available in the body cells to cool down the temperature.  And that’s what makes you feel cold.  

So, when you wear the Track Suits, the kind of fabric that you will get will wick away this sweat from the body and let the body feel fresh from any sweat.  This sweat-wicking quality is going to be a USP for your Track Suit Functionality.  These track suits are made from material that allows for maximum sweat-wicking.  

So, I would suggest that you have your pair of Track Suits in your Wardrobe if you don’t have one at present.  And there are many such good tracksuits available in the market these days.  You have so many choices to pick from.  Generally, we go for the looks when we buy clothes.  But I would suggest that you should prioritise functionality of the suit over the looks while you buy one for yourself.  And I would say the same for any other type of sports gear.  This is for the simple reason that we are wearing these not just to make a fashion statement but to get the maximum leverage out of them for efficient workouts.  :
