We are a bundle of energy.
And when we feel that energy in ourselves, we come alive. If we don’t feel that energy, we are as good as dead. And so, we behave accordingly.
Long distance running is perceived to be an arduous exercise. Not many would take it up. And a lot of people wonder about the ones who do. They wonder and try to figure out what makes these people go so crazy to run such crazy distances. You don’t need to run such distances in your daily life. Do you?
I feel that these runners, the so-called marathon runners, the ultra marathon runners run because they allow their mind and body to experience that tremendous bundle of energy that they are!
An onlooker may feel that the one running for such a long distance must be dying out there. Had it been the case, I don’t think a human would commit to doing it. These people who appear to be insane because they run crazy is because they have mastered the art of energy that is not easy to perceive for a normal person.
Energy is everything. And to evoke that energy you need to get out of the mundane living. When you run such distances, you elevate your energy in your body, mind and spirit and let them come together to create a thunder inside you. The energy erupts within like a volcanic eruption when you run a marathon or more. And this tremendous explosion of energy is experienced long after the run is over.
The body might have tattered to pieces for the time being. A person may not be able to lift his leg for a few days or walk properly. But, ask the person how he feels about his mental state post a good run. And you won’t find a runner who would say, “Not Again“.
It is just the opposite. He or she would rather be more than desperate to engage into a next good long run. People run because it is mind-body complex that gets affected. You must run to understand that experience and that feeling.
It is no surprise that the running as a pursuit of happiness is gaining so much traction these days. Running is something that can be done at any age. And no matter how slow or less you run, running is going to leave an impact on you for sure. You won’t be the same person as you were.
Running has changed many lives. Infact, transformed. As the societies we live in become more pressuring, such pursuits like running is going to see an exponential growth.
Running is not just for the physical health and well being. Infact, I started running because I found it useful in managing my mental pressure at work. But, slowly the positive impact running created started to permeate into every part of my life and living.
Running is not just an exercise. Running is a mediation. Running is a philosophy for living. You won’t find a runner who hasn’t learnt something from the process of running to be relevant to living. Be it your personal or professional life, running empowers them.
People don’t go crazy who run such crazy distances. Running a long distance is a spiritual experience. It takes you out of the petty human emotions and uplifts your spirits to allow you to experience a sense of freedom within. You become a powerful person inside out!
I have been running now for more than 7 years and nearing 10000 Kms planning over the days evenly. And I can clearly see a huge difference in the quality of my life. Running makes you energetic for sure to say the least about running.
